Guitarists - can you use an ebony bridge (like on an archtop) with a solid body that has a Bigsby?

My electric solid body Dearmond Guitar with a bigsby sounds a little wierd,on the attack of the bass strings, and honestly, I'm thinking that an ebony bridge - like you find on an archtop with a floating base - might do the trick - letting the strings slide around a bit, but still keeping the sharp edge of a tune-o-matic style. I've tried tune-o-matic, rocking bar bridges, etc. Any thoughts on this? Crazy idea? Will it wear down too quickly? Thanks for any thoughts.

Second - a dry lubricant like a little silicone, or graphite can work wonders. Even a pencil lead rubbed in the slot may be enough. Good luck.
